BY THE FIRST OF JANUARY, this new Central Maine Power facility is expected to be fully operational, according to CMP spokesman John Carroll. The 7,200 square foot building at the entrance to the Point East i-park on the Ferry Road in Wiscasset expands the capability of a similar facility at the site of the old Mason Station just off the Birch Point Road. AUGUST AND MATHIAS help Vanessa turn in her ballot for an “I Voted Today” sticker. Wiscasset Primary School’s fourth graders held a special election at the school. Kindergarten students voted on their favorite fruit or vegetable, with apples being the clear winner. The rest of the school voted on the School Consolidation Law. The vote passed to maintain the legislation by a margin of 83 to 78.

WISCASSET PRIMARY SCHOOL students present a performance of “The Bremen Town Musicians.” In the story, a group of animals leave their respective homes and set out for the town of Bremen to become musicians. Along the way, they come across a group of robbers in a cottage and the story takes a comical turn.
