5/9: The Story of Author, Harper Lee, at The Lincoln Home

Event has passed

Historian, Jerry Wiles, will share the life story of noted author, Nelle Harper Lee (1926-2016.) The American novelist author of To Kill a Mockingbird is best known by her pen name, Harper Lee. Published in 1960, the work was a coming of age story that reflected racial prejudice in the South. To Kill a Mocking Bird won  a Pulitzer prize as well as several other literary awards.  The movie version, starring Gregory Peck, won three Academy Awards. Prior to her passing, she published Go Set a Watchman, a sequel that was actually the first book she wrote. The book broke pre-sale records and is on target to becoming one of the fastest selling literary works in history.

We welcome the public to join us Monday, May 9, from 3:00 - 4:00pm in our living room over looking the Damariscotta River.
