Cheney Financial Group Hosts Sixth Annual Selling Season Breakfast

The Oysterhead Lounge above the Newcastle Publick House was filled with colorful balloons and flower arrangements, along with lively chatter and enthusiasm, early on the morning of May 11. Dennis Hilton, president of the Damariscotta-based Cheney Financial Group, hosted a delicious full breakfast—prepared by chef Alex Nevens and crew—to thank, inspire and support his team of associates from Newcastle Realty, Newcastle Vacation Rentals, and Cheney Insurance—as well as invited guests from the community. 

 The sense of teamwork and camaraderie was evident as games were played and gifts were received. Dennis gave a heartfelt speech, both motivational and appreciative, of the hard work and dedication of each of his staff. Many were recognized for their length of service and commitment. At the end of the breakfast, names were drawn for attendees to receive an envelope from the “CFG Wall of Cash,” plus other prizes were awarded. It is evident to an outside observer, that Dennis Hilton clearly appreciates and acknowledges the success, teamwork and loyalty of his staff.

 Together, the companies that make up The Cheney Financial Group have 33 associates that serve thousands of Maine families each year, while generating annual sales of over $49.5 million and injecting almost $1.6 million into the local economy each year. The history of the organization goes back to the 1940’s when Ralph B. Cheney opened an insurance and real estate firm on Damariscotta’s Main Street.
