Fred Garbo Infatlable Theatre~ Camden Opera House 120th Celebration

Event has passed

A "Best of the Best of the Past" event to celebrate 120th Anniversary.
Fred Garbo got paid for doing a card trick in 1974, and has been a professional performer ever since.

On Sesame Street, he was the acrobat inside Barkley the Dog. On Broadway, he was the chief juggler in the musical Barnum. He toured Europe, Hong Kong and Australia with the Obie Award-winning Foolsfire, with Bob Berky and Michael Moschen.

Whether tumbling for the New York City Opera at Lincoln Center or dancing with MOMIX in Brazil, Fred brings a gymnast's timing and an actor's presence to his Inflatable Theater Co.

He even was featured on David Letterman's Late Night. Fred Garbo continues to astound and tickle audiences with his pop-action inflatables and hilarious stage presence.

Tickets are $12 on the web at www.camdenoperahouse.com, Camden Town Office Mon-Fri 9am-3pm or (207)470-7066.

Molly Gawler joins him for this show. Molly Gawler grew up on Buttermilk Hill on a small farm in Maine. She danced from a young age and studied Vaganova ballet with Russian teacher and choreographer Andrei Bossov. Following that, she broadened her horizons with ballet, modern and improvisational studies at SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance earning her BFA in Dance Performance. While in New York City she danced with contemporary/modern companies “CorbinDances” with choreography by Patrick Corbin and “Noa Dance” with choreography by Nelly VanBommell. She danced with Pilobolus as the lead role as “the dog girl” in Pilobolus’s Shadowland which toured the world. While in her home state of Maine, she plays fiddle, banjo and sings in the “Gawler Family Band” as well as with her trio of sisters, “The Gawler Sisters.” Her new dance company “Droplet Dance” uses performance art to celebrate and spread awareness of water. She has been performing in the Fred Garbo show for the past year.
A highlight of Molly’s appearance with Fred is her solo appearance on roller skates.
Kristi Williamson and Shana Bloomstein will be guesting with one short energetic dance piece with a drummer solo.
