If you are from the Boothbay Harbor area then you most likely know Millie Jones-Farnham. You then understand how very happy the Lincoln Home in Newcastle is to welcome her as the Director of Nursing!

Millie has been a main stay in the healthcare community of Boothbay Harbor for the past 25 years. She began her healthcare career as a CNA and then received  her RN and  BSN  degrees from  the University of Southern Maine in 1988 . Millie personifies that nursing is not what one does but rather whom one is.  Her smiling sense of humor and her love of people  fit perfectly with her desire to help others.

Upon graduation Millie worked as an ER Nurse at St. Andrews Hospital for    -----years as well as the Director of  the Gregory Wing nursing home 8 years. Wanting to provide kind, loving, compassionate care to hospice patients Mille became a certified in hospice  and palliative care nurse and worked 3 ½ years with Lincoln County Healthcare.

As Director of Nursing, Millie will have oversight of  The Lincoln Home Assisted Living, Harbor View Cottage Memory Loss Care as well providing assessment and care planning for  clients  of One2One Care, a care service for those who want to remain in their own homes.

Millie feels that the residents “are a gift” and she “goes home smiling every day”.  We at The Lincoln Home feel that Millie Jones-Farnham is a great addition to our staff and are delighted  she has joined us in our mission of providing excellence in Senior Living and Home Care on the coast of Maine.
