Wed, 07/12/2017 - 9:30am

On Thursday, July 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., the Dyer Neck Gang will bring their unique blend of country rock to the Wiscasset Town Common as part of the “Alive on the Common” music events.

The Dyer Neck Gang is a Midcoast Maine based country rock band, formed in 2012, that has performed in many venues within a 2 hour radius of their home base. Playing popular country rock songs, from today’s and yesterday’s hottest artists, southern and classic rock are  Joe Dalton (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Al Butler (vocals/lead guitar), Sean McGregor (vocals/bass guitar), Deric Verney (drums) and Bob Marcus (sound/lights).

The “Gang” has entertained folks at the Hollywood Casino, Crystal Falls, The Silver Spur, Puddle Palooza, and the Dempsey Challenge Fundraisers, just to name a few.

They’ve also performed at numerous area 4th of July Celebrations, campgrounds, and Wiscasset’s Thursday Night Concert Series. In 2014 they opened up for John Michael Montgomery, at the Winslow Fourth of July Festival, and headlined at Puddle Palooza, and the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor.

This is a free community event that is sponsored by First National Bank and Chip Davison Construction. Come on down and get your swerve on.
