The American Folk Festival returns Aug. 25-27 to the Bangor waterfront ... and what a lineup!

The scheduled performers are C.J. Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band, Les Poules a Colin, Cora Harvey Armstrong, Las Cafeteras, Selwin Birchwood, Ben Miller & Anita MacDonald, Rhythm Future Quartet, Culture featuring Kenyatta Hill, and Doug Moreland & The Flying Armadillos. Suggested donation is a mere $10 a DAY ...but more would no doubt be gratefully accepted! Here are the hours: Friday, Aug. 25 - 6:30-10:30 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 26 noon to 10:30 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 27 - noon to 6:30 p.m.

Other activities include a children’s village with crafts and activities for kids 2-12 - or older (that means you mom and dad!); the Marketplace where you’ll find food and unique items from cultures around the world - including a taste of Maine (hmm, what could that be ...); parades, musical instrument workshops, and so much more ... like food and the beer and wine pavillion!
