Arthur Russell Delano Jr. died July 5, 2016 at his home.

Arthur was born on February 23, 1936 in Boothbay to Arthur Russell Delano Sr. and Florence Madelyn (Matthews) Delano.

After attending Wiscasset schools, Arthur was a marine worm digger and truck driver. He worked for several local construction businesses in the area, and owned a logging and construction business. Arthur was a very talented man and was loved by all who knew him.

Arthur was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Kenneth, George, Jeffery, Martha, Marjorie Sproul, and Peggy Creamer.

He is survived by his loving wife Peggy; son, Timothy and wife Pamela of Wiscasset; daughter, Lori and husband Jim Munson of Wiscasset; son, Stephen and wife Robin of Traveler's Rest, South Carolina; son, Darren and wife Laury of Dresden; grandchildren, Shawn Delano, Travis Munson, Tenlee Delano, Letitia Munson, Jonica Delano, Emilee (Delano) West, and Jodi Delano; and four great-granddaughters. He is also survived by his siblings, Robert, Lloyd, Dean, Dana, Richard, Wendell, Linda, Ruth Webber, and Nancy Morton, as well as many nieces and nephews.

At Arthur’s request, a private service will take place at a later date.
