A reminder that on Sunday, May 1, the Opus One Big Band will be performing at Wiscasset Middle High School at 5 p.m.

The Opus One Big Band features professional Maine musicians who support Maine music programs by performing benefit concerts throughout the state. The band has been playing for over 20 years and has performed for church concert series, music booster fundraisers, and other charitable events. The band is currently under the direction of Dale Perkins and includes music educators and performers from across the state.

The concert will include student soloists from the Wiscasset Music Department and an appearance by members of the Wiscasset Middle High School Band.

Tickets will be available at the door ($5 students/seniors, $10 adults, $20 family). There will be baked goods for sale, a raffle, and a dance floor.
