Damariscotta Police Department: A fight, drug investigation and more

The Damariscotta Police report the following activity from April 25 to May 1, 2016:

April 25

Chief Young and Officer Halpin responded to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street. Martha Kierstead of Damariscotta was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion and Elizabeth Rhodes of Washington was driving a 2002 Chrysler Town & Country. Minor injuries were reported.

Officer Halpin responded to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street. Stuart Feldpausch of South Thomaston was driving a 2002 Subaru Forester and Gisele St. Pierre of Bristol was driving a 2010 Chrysler Sebring.

Chief Young investigated a report of trespassing on Biscay Road.

Sgt. Warlick conducted a drug investigation on Main Street.

April 26

Officer Halpin responded to a hit and run accident on Coastal Market Drive. Carol Emery of Walpole reported a vehicle hit her and left. No injuries reported.

Sgt. Warlick assisted with a suicidal subject on Ledgewood Court.

April 27

Officer Dotson assisted with a juvenile problem on Pond Circle, summonsed Ingeborg Leach of Waldoboro was summonsed for speeding and failing to provide proof of insurance on Main Street, and investigated an open 9-1-1 call on Spruce Lane.

Chief Young, Sgt. Warlick, Officer Elwell and Officer Seekins conducted with a special detail on Main Street.

Sgt. Warlick responded to a car vs. deer accident on Back Meadow Road. Cassandra Niederer of Biddeford was driving a 2009 Hyundai Elantra. The deer had to be put down, no human injuries were reported.

Joshua Watkis of Alna was summonsed for inspection and insurance on Main Street by Sgt. Warlick.

April 28

Ellen Tilton of Exeter, New Hampshire was summonsed for operating after suspension on Main Street by Officer Fait.

Officer Sylvester investigated a report of a 9-1-1 hang up on Schooner Street.

April 29

Sgt. Warlick responded to a fight on Jackie’s Trail. Peace was restored.

Sgt. Warlick assisted another agency with paperwork service at the police department, assisted another agency with an out of control subject on Bristol Road, and investigated a two vehicle accident on Main St. Jeffery Conlon of Cushing was driving a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan and Claude Broutin of Wiscasset was driving a 2004 Lexus. No injuries were reported.

Sgt. Warlick conducted a drug investigation on Back Meadow Road.

Officer Sylvester served paperwork on Meadow Court.

April 30

Officer Halpin investigated an animal complaint on Chapman Street.

Officer Seekins assisted with a med take back in Damariscotta.

Officer Halpin investigated a motor vehicle accident on Coastal Market Drive. Peggy Thomas of Franklin was driving a 2001 Chevy 1500 and Dianna Leeman of Bremen was driving a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. No injuries were reported.

Officer Sylvester investigated a report of harassment on Back Meadow Road.

May 1

Sarah Lane of Nobleboro was summonsed for operating after suspension on Main St. by Officer Sylvester.

Damariscotta Police Department responded to 136 calls for service during the time period of April 25 to May 1, 2016 including: 3 9-1-1 hang ups, 5 animal complaints, 5 assist citizen, 11 assist other agency, 42 property checks, 1 community policing, 2 disabled motor vehicle, 2 drug investigation, 1 erratic vehicle, 1 fight, 1 harassment, 1 juvenile problem, 1 loud noise, 1 parking problem, 1 pedestrian check, 3 police information, 5 found/lost property, 3 paperwork service, 1 special detail, 1 suicidal, 1 theft/forgery/fraud, 6 traffic control, 1 trespassing and 1 welfare check. 20 citations or warnings were issued and 1 arrest of summons issued.
