David P. Lupprian

David P. Lupprian, 91, of Zephyrhills, Florida and Boothbay Harbor, and formerly of Laurel, Maryland, died Sept. 17, 2014.

He was the devoted husband of the late Hazel (nee McMillan) and loving father of the late Mark L. and Donna Douglas.

David was born in Massachusetts and was a civil engineer graduate of Tufts College. He served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific. He was a project engineer on the Mystic River and Long Island bridges in Boston, Massachusetts; area and contract engineer for E.I. DuPont during the construction of the AEC Savannah River plant; project engineer on the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel; and spent many years working under contract for the Navy.

He is survived by his beloved companion of 22 years, Alice B. Lee of Boothbay Harbor; a sister, Virginia Corliss; two nieces, two nephews and their children.

In celebration of his life, services will be held for family and friends on Oct. 25 at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Elkridge, Maryland.
