Dresden residents to vote in two contested races

    Two positions in Dresden’s government will be contested when residents go to the polls on Tuesday, June 13.  The filing deadline for nomination papers was Monday, May 1.

    Challenger Shirley Storkson will be running against incumbent Patricia Theriault for a one -year term as town clerk. Storkson is also running unopposed for a one-year term as treasurer, a position now held by Kim Rzasa.

    Incumbent Allan Moeller Sr. will attempt to retain his seat as third selectman. Michael Nylen is challenging him for the three-year term. Ann Pierce is unopposed in her bid to remain the property and excise tax collector. Theriault said the town is still looking to fill one position for a three-year term on the Budget Review Committee.
