Edward N. Sibilly

Edward Norman "Eddie" Sibilly, 71, of Hanover, Maryland, died June 7, 2015.

He was born in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands on Nov. 5, 1943. He was the oldest of six sons to the late Edward Joseph and Bernice (Ferrari) Sibilly. He was a lifelong resident of St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands until he relocated to Maryland in 2000 with his wife Adria (Lee) Sibilly.

Eddie enjoyed life to the fullest. He spent time every summer since 1990 visiting with his mother-in-law Alice Brewer Lee in Boothbay Harbor. He enjoyed going to Tugboat Inn for live music, eating the seafood and sightseeing in Maine. He was an avid sports fan. His favorite baseball teams were the Orioles and Red Sox, football teams Ravens and Patriots. He had played softball for many years, enjoyed golf, watching sports.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. He worked for Virgin Islands Chase Manhattan Bank, Virgin Islands Government, then Office Depot after he relocated to Maryland.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Adria Lee Sibilly; daughters Tricia Sibilly-James, Tara Sibilly-Rodriguez and Tami Sibilly-Penn; sons-in-law, Ivan James, Rigoberto Rodriguez and Louis Penn Jr.; seven grandchildren, Chenel and Michael Roberts, Joshua and Joy James, Louis Penn III, Shamirah Rodriguez and Lorenz Penn; five brothers, Larry, David, James, Richard, Duane and their wives; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; in-laws Alice Brewer Lee and Andy and Lyn Lee; and numerous friends.

He will be missed by all who knew him. He was always the life of any party and enjoyed making new friends no matter where he was.

Services were held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Interment was at Mafolie Cemetery in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
