Elizabeth S. Goodrich, 92, of Alna died March 14, 2014 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick with her family by her side.

She was born December 22, 1921 in Portland to Harry H. Stimpson, Sr. and Mildred Maynard Stimpson. She cherished her “daddy.” She grew up in Portland and attended local schools.

She was married for 50 years to Charles Goodrich Jr. She held various jobs, but her main focus was being a mother and homemaker. For the last six years, Elizabeth has been living with her daughter, Bonnie, and her husband, Jeff, in Alna.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Portland. She loved to dance, enjoyed playing bingo, but her favorite passion was knitting, crocheting and shopping. She also loved flowers and looking for her favorite bird, the red cardinal. Above all, her pride and joy was her dog, Sami. She was a spunky lady, who was right to the point. She was a very generous person and would help anyone in need. Many will miss her giving heart.
