Erika Auger, daughter of Valerie and Larry St. Pierre of Wiscasset and Kris Auger of Lincoln, Massachusetts, has been named Daughters of the American Revolution representative for the Wiscasset High School Class of 2015.

Auger is a student who is always involved in school academically and socially. Auger moved ahead to the senior class this year and will graduate in three years of high school. She was president of her class for two years and has been a member of student council of three years. She is a member of National Honor Society, yearbook staff, outing club and video news club.

WHS has its first volleyball intramural team thanks to Auger’s efforts. Auger has also participated in numerous community service projects, ranging from the town of  Wiscasset Walkability Committee to the WGME School Spirit Challenge.

The Pemaquid Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution sponsors Auger for this honor. The selection process requires a faculty vote. Three seniors who best exemplify outstanding qualities of leadership, dependability, service and patriotism in school, home, and community are chosen.

The senior class then selects one of the three to represent the school. This is not a scholastic award, rather, it is an award presented for outstanding character and achievement, and the selection is based on the same.
