The Westport Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a Hands-Only CPR course and training on how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at the Westport Island Town Hall on Sept. 14, 15 and 16 from 6 to 7 p.m.

Through a grant award, the fire department recently received an AED that has been installed in the Town Hall. 

The training will be presented by Roger Quandt, who is an Intermediate Level Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-I), the EMS Medical Director for the fire department and a certified EMT and CPR instructor.

There is no registration or cost to people who attend.
