Fun events for all ages at The Lincoln Home

    For railroad enthusiasts, young and old, make sure to stop in Thursday, October 15, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., as The Lincoln Home is hosting the Maine3Railers Model Railroad’s Club unique model railroad display.

    On Friday, October 16, from 4 to 7 p.m., our featured Artwalk artist is photographer Stott Carleton. A lobsterman from Edgecomb, Stott’s breathtaking photographs capture stunning views of nature taken on and by the ocean. Enjoy light hors d’oeuvres at the artist reception, from 4:30 - 5:30. Art is for sale from 4 to 7 p.m. in our living room. Stott will donate 25 percent of his sales to The Lincoln Home’s Resident Assistant fund. Free trolley rides from The Lincoln Home to 21 Artwalk venues.

    On Monday, October 19, from 3 to 4 p.m., apple expert, John Bunker will discuss the history of apples in Maine and describe his adventures tracking down, identifying and preserving rare historic varieties. He has been farming in Maine for the over 40 years and is the author of “Not Far from the Tree,” a book outlining the history of apples in Palermo.

    Life at The Lincoln Home is all about residents choosing a wide range of fun activities from entertainment to enrichment. We welcome the public to join us for our free events.
