Honoring four Boothbay region Democrats with public dinner

October 1 at the American Legion Hall in Boothbay
Tue, 09/20/2016 - 10:30am

Four citizens from the Boothbay peninsula have been the anchors of the Lincoln County Democratic party for many years.

Sandra Rumery has been on the county executive committee, worked as a Democratic State Committee woman and been on the credential committee for many past state conventions.

Ellie Taylor served as the Lincoln County Democratic Committee chair and has been in charge of many very successful spaghetti suppers.

Dave Taylor ran and almost won a seat for county commissioner but more importantly he has been the political conscience for the party.

Jerry Topinka is the computer guru, label maker, and graphic designer for many of our mailings.

We thank them and want to celebrate them with a dinner on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 5 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 25 Industrial Park Road, Boothbay. The dinner menu will include baked beans, ham, American chop suey, coleslaw, rolls, drinks and desserts. Admission prices are: adults $12, children ages 5-12 $6, under 5 free, and family of four $30.
