Jeanne E. Benson of Wollaston, Mass., died March 27, 2014 at the age of 101 years and some months.  

She was a frequent visitor to the Boothbay region, passing part of many happy summers at the home of her sister Josophene B. Stees, and her brother-in-law Hubert S. Stees, on Landing Road in Southport, and was known to many natives and summer residents.

She will be buried beside her late sister and her sister’s husband in the Spruce Lawn cemetery on Route 27 in Southport at 10 a.m. June 19.

The service will be performed by Rev. John Swanson of the Union Congregational Church in Wollaston.
