Dear Editor:

Every Wiscasset resident needs to get out and vote April 17.

It’s very simple; Wiscasset townspeople must make a decision:

Do we want our town's rules and ordinances to stand and be respected by MDOT? Vote yes.

If you decide to vote no, that means you are in favor of MDOT bypassing and not respecting Wiscasset’s laws and ordinance.

Please understand, if you vote no, you are setting a precedent that any other part of government will never need to follow Wiscasset’s laws and ordnances.

This specific vote is not about money! Private citizens have stepped forward to pay for the continuation of the lawsuit against MDOT if the town of Wiscasset votes yes.

Therefore, I support continuing ligation, allowing the courts to hear our case and make a final judgement. We can defend Wiscasset’s rights, by voting yes.
