Lawrence W. Greenleaf Jr.

Lawrence W. “Butch” Greenleaf Jr., 55, died unexpectedly at his home in Trevett on Dec. 11, 2015.

Butch was born in Boothbay Harbor on September 30, 1960 to Lawrence W. Greenleaf Sr. and Jennean Simmons Greenleaf. Butch grew up in Trevett and graduated from the Boothbay Region High School in the class of 1978.

Butch worked at Bath Iron Works for 34 years as a shipfitter and electrician. He also worked with Rendall Hyson for three years prior to BIW as a carpenter.  

Butch was avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, and working in his garden. He also liked to tinker on cars and motorcycles. He loved his animals and especially his cat, “Miss Kitty.”

He was predeceased by his father, Lawrence W. Greenleaf Sr.

He is survived by his twin daughters, Evelyn Greenleaf and Dana Greenleaf of Boothbay Harbor; a stepdaughter, Cody Orne of Boothbay Harbor; a stepgranddaughter, Lilly Brown of Boothbay Harbor; a son, Brooks Royale of Indiana; his mother, Jennean Greenleaf of Trevett; a brother, Richard Greenleaf of Trevett; sisters, Laurie Williams and her husband Alan of Trevett and Eileen Greenleaf of Boothbay Harbor; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Boothbay. Sereno Brown will be officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Butch’s name to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 7, Edgecomb, ME 04556.
