The Reverend Josh Fitterling will host a Lenten Bible Study series, “Job: When Your World Falls Apart” beginning March 5 at the First Congregational Church of Wiscasset.

The public is invited to join Rev. Fitterling for this six-week study. The series will explore the life and story of Job whose faithfulness was tested by Satan. Even though Job had lost his family, his flocks, his health and riches, Job never lost his faith and because of that he eventually had his health, family and riches restored to him.

Rev. Fitterling will pose the following questions: How do we remain faithful through the trials and challenges of this life? Why do bad things happen? Where is God in it all?

There will be day and evening sessions beginning on Thursdays from noon to 1:30 p.m. on March 9, 16, 23, 30, April 6, and 13 or on Sundays from 5-6:30 p.m. March 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 2 and 9. A soup and bread meal will be provided.
