Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Seven arrests and several accidents

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 323 calls between Jan. 16 and Jan. 23, and year to date, LCSO has responded to 1,279 calls.

Summons

On Jan. 16, Casey A. Hanna, 33, of Bristol was issued a summons for Assault, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.

Arrests

On Jan. 17, Charles Leeman, 37, of Boothbay Harbor was arrested on a Lincoln County District Court warrant for Failure to Appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy William Owen.

On Jan. 17, Gregory W. Maher, 44, of Charlotte, North Carolina was arrested on a Knox County warrant for Violating Condition of Release; Operating under the Influence, Failure to Stop for a Law Enforcement Officer and Operating after Suspension, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.

On Jan. 18, Grace M. Bouchard, 27, of Bath was arrested on a Lincoln County District Court warrant for Failure to Appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy William Owen.

On Jan. 20, Patricia H. Eon, 32, of Wiscasset was arrested for Operating under the Influence, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.

On Jan. 20, Larry W. Cobb, 36, of Wiscasset was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault and Domestic Violence Criminal Mischief, on Waldoboro Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

On Jan. 21, Charles Gates, 36, of Litchfield was arrested on an Androscoggin District Court warrant for Failure to Appear on a Theft Charge, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.

On Jan. 21, Roger A. Feltis, 25, of Canaan was arrested on a Cumberland County District Court warrant for Failure to Appear on a Shellfish Charge, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.

Accidents

On Jan. 16, an accident occurred on Lower Cross Road in Nobleboro involving Micah L. M. Williamson, 20, of Waldoboro. Mr. Williamson was operating his 2004 Chevrolet 1500 northbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck, causing passenger side damage. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 17, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Bremen involving Sean Hovan, 36, of Rockland. Mr. Hovan was operating his 2002 Ford Ranger southbound on the snow covered roadway, when he stated that he tried to get enough speed to crest a hill, and his vehicle spun 180 degrees, entered the ditch on the right side and rolled over onto the driver’s side. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 17, an accident occurred on Bunker Hill Road in Jefferson involving Christopher M. Garner, 29, of Waldoboro. Mr. Garner was operating his 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt northbound when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center line and entered the southbound ditch. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 17, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Kevin C. Brewer, 23, of Wiscasset and Michaela H. West, 52, of Wiscasset. Ms. West had stopped her 2014 Ford Expedition in traffic, waiting to turn onto Mills Road, when Mr. Brewer was unable to stop in time and struck the back of West’s vehicle with his 1999 Dodge Dakota. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 17, an accident occurred on Winslow Hill Road in Nobleboro involving Emery J. Hopkins, 30, of Waldoboro and Scott C. Dodge, 63, of Damariscotta. Mr. Hopkins was operating his 2002 Dodge 1500 westbound and Mr. Dodge was operating his 2009 Freightliner truck eastbound, when Mr. Hopkins lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center line and slid into the side of Dodge’s vehicle. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 17, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Erin L. Hamlin, 35, of Fairfield. Ms. Hamlin was operating her 2005 Ford Focus eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle, spun 180 degrees, entered the eastbound ditch and struck a cluster of small trees. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 18, an accident occurred on Turner Road in Bremen involving Zachary M. Needham, 19, of Chelsea. Mr. Needham was operating his 2014 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound when another vehicle approached him traveling westbound and crowded the center of the roadway. As a result, Needham went off the edge of the roadway and struck a tree. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 20, an accident occurred on Grand Army Road in Whitefield involving Brian J. Long, 47, of Nobleboro. Mr. Long was operating his 2013 Ford F350 westbound when a deer came out of the woods and struck the right side of his vehicle. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 20, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Dean M. Schubert, 61, of Belgrade. Mr. Schubert was operating his 2008 Ford Escape northbound when a deer ran out into the roadway and was struck, causing damage to the front passenger corner. Reserve Deputy Dwight Fowles was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 20, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Patricia H. Eon, 32, of Wiscasset. Ms. Eon was operating her 2007 Jeep Commander northbound when she lost control of her vehicle, left the northbound lane and entered the northbound ditch where her vehicle then struck two utility poles, breaking both of them. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 22, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Alan P. Baldwin, 39, of Boothbay. Mr. Baldwin was operating his 2017 Ford F-250 northbound when he stated he got distracted while speaking with his child in the back seat and as a result, he lost control of his vehicle, went into the northbound ditch and struck a utility pole, breaking it. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 22, an accident occurred on Vigue Road in Whitefield involving Lauren T. Cullen, 37, of Whitefield. Ms. Cullen was operating her 2017 Hyundai Elantra northbound when a deer crossed the road in front of her and was struck. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
