Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Seven arrests

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 397 calls between Jan. 10 and Jan. 16, and year to date, LCSO has responded to 796 calls.

Arrests

On Jan. 9, Brenna C. Mackay, 35, of Waterboro was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault, on Lobster Cove Road, Monhegan Island, by Sgt. Aaron Beck, who was assisted by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

On Jan. 10, Jeremy T. Griffin, 27, of Waldoboro was arrested on a Lincoln County District Court warrant for Failure to Appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

On Jan. 11, Ethan K. Fink, 45, of Bristol was arrested on a non-compliance contempt order at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.

On Jan. 11, Randall F. Blasius, 25, of Friendship was arrested on a Lincoln County District Court warrant for Failure to Appear, at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.

On Jan. 12, Kenneth W. Dunn, 32, of Hartford was arrested for Criminal Mischief and Obstructing Report of a Crime, on Nobleboro Road, Bremen, by Lt. Brendan Kane.

On Jan. 12, Kenneth W. Dunn, 32, of Hartford was arrested for Violating Conditions of Release, on Nobleboro Road, Bremen, by Lt. Brendan Kane.

On Jan. 14, Gregory W. Maher, 44, of Charlotte, North Carolina was arrested for Operating under the Influence – No test (1 prior); Violating Condition of Release and Operating Vehicle without a License, on Pond Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck, who was assisted by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

Accidents

On Jan. 9, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving James A. Heard, 58, of Bath and Nicole Blake, 30, of Edgecomb. Mr. Heard had stopped his 2008 Toyota RAV4 at the stop sign at the intersection of Middle Road and Route 27, and was attempting to make a left hand turn and did not see Ms. Blake’s 2007 Ford Focus, who was traveling southbound on Route 27.  As a result, Blake could not avoid striking Heard’s vehicle, causing front end damage to both vehicles. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 10, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Michael P. Farrell, 50, of Pittston and Russell E. Shumaker, 54, of Bath.  Mr. Shumaker was making a left turn onto Gardiner Road in his 2007 Toyota Sienna when he struck Mr. Farrell’s 2010 Honda Ridge liner, who was traveling southbound on Gardiner Road. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 10, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Edgecomb involving Arthur W. Richardson, 81, of Boothbay and Scott Mitchell, 45, of Gorham. Mr. Richardson was operating his 1993 Ford F150 eastbound when he failed to negotiate a corner and crossed the center line. Mr. Mitchell, who was traveling westbound, attempted to avoid Richardson’s vehicle, however, Richardson struck Mitchell’s 2012 Freightliner, causing Mitchell’s vehicle to come to rest in the westbound ditch. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 10, an accident occurred on State Route 129 in South Bristol involving Linda D. Brunner, 75, of Walpole and Megan J. Achorn, 33, of Bremen. Ms. Brunner was pulling her 2015 Subaru Outback into the South Bristol post office. Ms. Achorn was backing her 2010 Dodge out of the parking lot and did not see Brunner’s vehicle. As a result, Achorn struck Brunner’s vehicle causing damage to the passenger side door. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 11, an accident occurred on Bunker Hill Road in Jefferson involving Zachary D. Jordan, 26, of Richmond, Virginia. Mr. Jordan was operating his 2011 Toyota TRS southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the left side and was struck. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 11, an accident occurred on Lower Round Pond Road in Bristol involving Richard A. Wahle, 62, of Bristol and Cody G. Webster, 19, of Jefferson. Mr. Wahle was operating his 2006 Toyota Tacoma northbound and Mr. Webster was making a left hand turn from Master Machine’s parking lot onto Lower Round Pond Road in his 2004 Dodge Stratus, when Wahle struck Webster’s vehicle. Wahle was unable to avoid Webster’s vehicle because Webster’s vehicle was in his travel lane. After striking Webster’s vehicle, Wahle’s vehicle left the roadway on the right and struck a utility pole. Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 12, an accident occurred on Hodgkins Hill Road in Jefferson involving Jordan T. Newbert, 32, of Nobleboro. Mr. Newbert was operating his 2006 Chevrolet westbound when he swerved to avoid a deer and went off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 14, an accident occurred on Pond Road in Newcastle involving Gregory W. Maher, 44, of Charlotte, North Carolina. Mr. Maher was operating his 2014 Subaru Outback northbound when he slid off the northbound shoulder and struck a utility pole. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
