Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Six arrests

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 570 calls for the week of Aug. 8 and Sept. 5, and year to date, LCSO has responded to 12,971 calls.

Summonses

On Aug. 28, Calvin J. Crocker, 24, of Edgecomb was issued a summons for Attaching False Plates, on River Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

On Sept. 3, Karen Goldsmith, 53, of Plymouth was issued a summons for Operating after Suspension, on Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

Arrests

On Aug. 28, Patrick Hamilton, 53, of Damariscotta was arrested for Violating Condition of Release, on Route 1, Edgecomb, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

On Aug. 29, Nichole D. Holmstrom, 35, of Bremen was arrested for Violating Condition of Release, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.

On Aug. 29, Amanda R. Porch, 35, of Jefferson was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault, on Atkins Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

On Aug. 31, Ariana L. Doherty, 31, of Augusta was arrested for Violating Condition of Release, on Back River Road, Boothbay, by Detective Jared Mitkus

On Sept. 2, Travis W. Clark, 34, of Dresden was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault and Obstructing Report of Crime, on Cedar Grove Road, Dresden, by Deputy Chase Bosse, who was assisted by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

On Sept. 4, Shawn D. Day, 23, of Waldoboro was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault, on Townline Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

Accidents

On Aug. 28, an accident occurred on US Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Rebecca L. Flaherty, 30, of Warren and Briceson G. Henny, 45, of Newcastle. Mr. Henny had stopped his 2011 Chevrolet Silverado in the northbound lane, waiting to make a left turn into the GRH and Sons storage facility parking lot. Ms. Flaherty was operating her 2016 Ford Explorer behind Henny’s vehicle when she stated she was rubbing her eyes and failed to see Henny stopped in front of her. Henny observed Flaherty’s vehicle coming up behind him quickly and began to make a quick left turn. Flaherty attempted to swerve right to avoid Henny’s vehicle, however, the front driver’s side of her vehicle struck the rear of Henny’s vehicle, pushing it into the parking lot of the storage facility. The impact caused Flaherty’s vehicle to spin around 180 degrees, strike a mailbox on the northbound side of the road, and come to rest on the northbound shoulder, facing southbound. Deputy John Braley was the investigating officer.

On Aug. 28, an accident occurred on River Road in Boothbay involving Calvin J. Crocker, 24, of Edgecomb.  Mr. Crocker was operating his 2008 Pontiac G5 northbound when a deer entered the roadway from the right side and was struck. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.

On Aug. 29, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Jefferson involving Jennifer N. Turffs, 30, of South China. Ms. Turffs was operating her 2009 Pontiac G6 westbound and slowing to turn into Peaslee’s Store. Turffs saw a car coming up quickly from behind her and thought it might hit her vehicle, so she turned right and went into the ditch. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On Aug. 31, an accident occurred on Center Street in Nobleboro involving Craig L. Grover, 65, of South Bristol and Dakotah L. Mank, 30, of Waldoboro. Mr. Grover was operating his 2003 Pontiac Vibe northbound and Mr. Mank was operating his 1982 Yamaha Maxim motorcycle southbound, when Grover started to make a left turn into Henny Automotive and struck Mank’s motorcycle. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On Aug. 31, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving William M. Butterfield, 43, of Waldoboro and Jason R. Freeman, 41, of Appleton. Mr. Butterfield was attempting to park his 2011 GMC Sierra next to Mr. Freeman’s 1999 Saab 9-3, which was unoccupied, at the Edgecomb Park and Ride, when he backed up and struck Freeman’s vehicle. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer

On Sept. 1, an accident occurred on West Hamlet Road in Newcastle involving Christopher A. McKenney, 46, of Newcastle. Mr. McKenney was operating his 2015 Toyota Sienna northbound, around a right hand turn, when a deer entered the roadway from the east side and was struck. Deputy John Braley was the investigating officer.
