Lincoln Home achieves a deficiency free survey

The Lincoln Home was surveyed by Department of Health and Human Service in mid-June. Every licensed senior living community in Maine is surveyed every two years by the Department of Human Services and cannot operate if the required regulations are not met.

The survey includes a variety of research such as a review of resident and employee records, medication administration standard of practice, dining and food handling standards, community life events, safety regulations as well and cleanliness and operational standards

"This is the 11th survey I have participated in at the Lincoln Home and I was beyond proud that this staff earned a perfect survey.  It was astounding," said Lynn Norgang, RN executive director. “Our philosophy here is that the state survey is a tool to help Lincoln Home improve in every way possible and the surveyor is our partner in our plan of excellence. Every day we are survey ready and survey days are no different than any other day.”

A huge thank you goes to all of our staff at Lincoln Home and the Director of Nursing, Millie Jones Farnham, RN, for their commitment and constant vigilance to excellence, while being kind and caring every day of the year. It is because of this commitment and dedication that The Lincoln Home scored a perfect survey.
