Maine State Music Theatre (MSMT) announces local auditions for the 2016 season, open call, on Saturday, Feb. 27. Children auditions will begin at 10 a.m. and, for adults, at 1:30 p.m. All auditions will be held at MSMT's offices at 22 Elm Street in Brunswick.

Actors are asked to prepare 16 bars of a song and bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Some may be asked to stay for callbacks and dance call. Resumes and a picture should be stapled back-to-back.

MSMT is looking to cast Maine child actors of all ages for the following shows:

“Evita” - first rehearsal June 11. Runs June 29-July 16.

“Fiddler on the Roof” - first rehearsal July 2. Runs July 20-August 6.

“Mamma Mia” - first rehearsal July 23. Runs August 10-27.

“Jack in the Beanstalk” - first rehearsal May 23. Runs June 15.

“The Irish … and How They Got That Way” - first rehearsal August 2. Runs August 19-September 3 with possible two-week extension.
