Logan Wilson Wallingford

Logan Wilson Wallingford, 80, a summer resident of Newagen, died January 28, 2013, in Houston, Texas after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie, daughter Anne and her husband, Tim Rondou, and grandson Logan.

Born in Sardis, Ky., Logan graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. He served and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of captain. Logan spent his career in the natural gas industry with Columbia Gas System, Inc. where he retired as senior vice president. He was a Registered Professional Engineer.

A long time board member of United Way of Delaware, Logan and Bobbie co-chaired the 1997 United Way of Delaware campaign. Logan served on the board of Delmarva Boy Scouts, was a member of Rotary, Wilmington, Delaware, a member of finance and outreach committees of All Saints by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Southport, and was a member of Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church, Houston, Texas.

A memorial service celebrating Logan’s life was conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church.
