The Maine Community Foundation will hold a Community Conversation for Lincoln County residents on Thursday, Sept. 1, in Newcastle. The gathering, the seventh in a series of conversations happening across the state, includes breakfast.

Steve Rowe, the foundation’s president and CEO, will facilitate the event from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Second Congregational Church, 51 Main Street. More information and registration are available on Eventbrite.

The foundation hopes to hear how it can help build on Lincoln County’s strengths and improve the quality of life for its residents. Information also will be available about grants and scholarships. The foundation awarded more than $25 million in grants and scholarships last year.

The foundation is a statewide organization with offices in Ellsworth and Portland. It works with donors and other partners to improve the quality of life for all Maine people. Visit www.mainecf.org.
