Story Location:
185 Townsend Avenue
Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538

“The Sounding,” rescheduled due to the Jan. 4 blizzard, will be shown at the Harbor Theater Thursday, Feb. 1.

On Feb. 1, special guests Mike Perreault, executive director and Ken Eisen, director of programming at the Maine Film Center, will introduce the film and answer questions afterwards. Come at 6:30 p.m. to meet them  and enjoy free desserts and coffee with friends.

A made in Maine movie, “The Sounding,” shot in part on Monhegan Island, stars Catherine Eaton (also co-writer and director) as a woman who has never spoken until suddenly she starts to speak only in the language of Shakespeare. Terrific ensemble cast, gorgeous scenery, fascinating exploration of language, the brain and the human condition.

The Feb. 2 showing - film only - is at 2 p.m. For more information, visit https://boothbaycinema.org.
