Maine State Music Theatre to hold auditions

Maine State Music Theatre will hold local auditions on Feb. 25 starting at 10 a.m. at 22 Elm Street in Brunswick.

The day begins with open call for boys (or girls willing to cut their hair in a boy's style) ages 3-12 for the theatre's production of The Who's “Tommy,” to be performed July 31.

An adult (18 and over) open call will begin at 11:30 a.m for the following shows: “Guys and Dolls,” (June 28 to July 15); “Grease,” (July 19 to Aug. 5); and Disney’s “Newsies,” (Aug. 9–26). Those who want to audition should show up, sign in, and will be seen in the order in which they arrive. MSMT guarantees to see all individuals who show up before 3 p.m.

The theater is also seeking performance interns ages 18 and over for the full season May 29 to Aug. 27.
