Margaret E. Hyson

Margaret Emma Hyson, 81, of Boothbay Harbor died peacefully with loving family by her side on March 21, 2016.

Margaret was born in Boothbay Harbor to Arthur Stone and Emma (Fuller) Stone on February 15, 1935. Margaret attended school in Boothbay Harbor.

Margaret loved and raised five children with her husband, Rendall, all while keeping an immaculate home. She loved to go camping and sitting by the campfire with her family. She and Rendall loved to go out dancing on Saturday night, and traveling to Florida and Tennessee with friends.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Emma (Fuller) Stone, and her brothers, Ellsworth Stone, Glenwood Stone, Parker Stone, George “Tater” Stone and Arthur “Junior” Stone.

She is survived by Rendall Hyson, her loving husband of 64 years; her son, Ronald Hyson and his wife Brenda of Boothbay Harbor; son, Richard Hyson and his wife Tracey of Boothbay; son, Steven Hyson of Boothbay; daughter, Kathy Tibbetts and her husband Edward of Boothbay Harbor; and son, Glenn Hyson and his wife Sarah of Boothbay.

Margaret is also survived by her sister, Mary Day Hull; her grandchildren, Tony Hyson and his wife Jennifer, Eric Hyson, Todd Hyson, Ethan Hyson, Evan Hyson, Hillary Hyson, Cory Hyson, Kristy Hyson, Benjamin Tibbetts, Rendall “Randy” Tibbetts and Christopher Hyson; as well as seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret’s name to the Maine Alzheimer’s Association, 383 US Route One #2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.

A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on Thursday, March 24 at 2 p.m. at Hall’s of Boothbay, 975 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay. Al Roberts will be officiating. A reception will follow at the Boothbay Fire Station. All are welcome.
