Meredith Jones, 72, of Wiscasset died Sept. 6, 2014, surrounded by his children. He had valiantly battled cancer for over three years.

Meredith enjoyed golf, bowling and watching his grandchildren play and grow. He was a faithful father and grandfather, being a constant presence at games, concerts and graduations.

He is survived by two sisters, Joanne Severance and her husband Freddy of Farmingdale, and Dolly Hayward and her husband Frank of Wiscasset; two brothers, Davey Jones and his wife Patti of Palermo, and twin brother Mickey Jones and his wife Crystal of Wiscasset.
