Michael J. Busque, 59, of Readfield, died August 27, 2012 in Greene as the result of a motorcycle accident. 

He was born in Augusta on February 20, 1953, the son of Forest Busque and Loraine (Courtemarche) Busque. Mike was a graduate of Cony High School.

He was employed by the state of Maine BAS Security Services and the state of Maine BGS since 1989. He was previously employed as a boiler engineer by Statler Tissue Co. for 23 years. He and his wife, Odeth, had recently opened a Thai restaurant in Wiscasset.

Mike was a longtime member of the Augusta Lodge of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks.

He was predeceased by his father, Forest Busque, and a brother, Richard Busque.

Surviving is his wife, Odeth (Viraphondeth) Busque of Readfield; his mother, Loraine Busque of Hallowell; one son, Forest Busque and his wife Blair of Chelsea; one daughter, Monique St. Pierre and her husband Corey of Belfast; two brothers, Philip “Jimmy” Busque and his wife Barbara of Augusta, and Steve Busque and his wife Terri of Belgrade; two sisters, Colette Woodcock and her husband John of West Gardiner, and Patty Busque of Gardiner; two step-sons, Anongsith “Toui” Viraphondeth and Dethsavong “Tho” Viraphondeth; three grandchildren, Devin Busque, Amber St. Pierre and Craig Brown Jr.; one aunt and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may visit from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4 at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta where a memorial service will follow at 5 p.m.
