Midnight Energy (formerly Midnight Oil) in Newcastle has undergone a complete operational and branding overhaul, and, effective today, May 30, the company reemerges as Seacoast Energy Solutions.

The transition comes complete with a new name, logo, website, innovative online customer tools, attractively rebranded trucks and, most important, a renewed commitment to customer service and support. The initiative was announced today by Casey Pratt, owner and CEO, along with the official introduction of Bob Milliken, director, who has been overseeing the transformation since the beginning of February.

“We’ve been working on a new company structure, image and innovative customer interactive tools for months. At the same time, we've been mentoring our key employees on our renewed philosophy as we remain committed to delivering top-notch service with pride and professionalism,” explained Milliken. “We’ve wrapped up that promise in our new tagline, ‘We deliver more.’”

The company, a provider of home and business fuel resources and service, including heating oil, propane and kerosene, has committed itself to becoming a leader in energy solutions in the region and services customers in the Lincoln County area, including Boothbay, Newcastle and Wiscasset.

Pratt promises that customers will notice more than the recently installed new propane fill station and the prominently rebranded trucks and new signage on their home on Route 1.

“I founded Midnight Oil as a local service provider with strong ties to the region and a dedication to outstanding service," said Pratt. " With the introduction of Seacoast Energy Solutions, we are evolving as a company while returning to our core values – service, quality, efficiency, reliability and value – that are so meaningful to the community we call home.”

The company is marking the transition with an open house in June. Monday through Saturday (June 17-22), area residents are invited to visit the company's renovated storefront and new propane fill station at 632 U.S. Route 1 in Newcastle for a free propane grill tank fill-up to kick off grilling season. Attendees can also register to win several prizes, including a propane 10KW stand-by generator, a decorative fireplace (both prizes will include installation), and 100 gallons of free heating oil or propane.

“This event is our way of reconnecting with current customers and introducing ourselves to anyone looking for a company with a commitment to value-added fuel services,” said Milliken. “We are looking forward to hosting our friends and neighbors and showing them around our renovated space.”

Milliken joined Seacoast Energy Solutions in February. Previously, he owned and operated Seacoast Power Equipment in North Hampton, New Hampshire. His career prior to business ownership included contributions to the petroleum, convenience store, consulting, tobacco and alternative energy industries. During his 25 years in the petroleum industry, Bob held numerous senior management positions with Arco Products Company, Sunoco, BP Amoco, Irving Oil and World Energy Alternatives.

“Bob joined us with a great knowledge of the fuels industry and great enthusiasm for customer service and support,” said Pratt. “He has led our restructuring and rebranding initiatives beautifully and will continue to lead our reinvigorated team.”
