One person was taken to a hospital following a motorcycle-car collision in Woolwich Sunday afternoon, Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Brett Strout said Monday.

The accident happened just before 2 p.m. June 19 near the Montsweag Flea Market area of Route One. Albert Harvey, 77, driving a 2016 Kia, slowed for traffic ahead but Charles Ryder, 64, driving a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle, could not stop in time, Strout said. Ryder laid the motorcycle down and it struck the car, he said.

Ryder had very minor injuries, Strout continued. A passenger on the motorcycle, Vikki Ryder, 63, complained of pain and was transported to a local hospital, he said. He did not immediately have the towns for those involved.

Woolwich Fire, Woolwich EMS, North East Ambulance and the Sheriff’s Department responded to the accident, Strout said. No one was charged and no further investigation was planned, he said.
