Wiscasset National Honor Society members help out homeless teens. Each year NHS chapters are asked to perform a service project and a fundraiser that will benefit the community.

This year, the Wiscasset High School National Honor Society Members collected gently worn coats and other outer wear to donate to New Beginnings, a homeless shelter/education facility for teens in Lewiston.

The students collected the clothing throughout the month of January.

NHS President Miranda McIntire remarked it was nice to be able to help out teens. She continued by saying that collecting for teens added more meaning to the drive because students were helping out people their own age.
