Olde Bristol Days announces fourth annual Vintage Car Show

Tue, 07/25/2017 - 4:45pm

Organizers of the Olde Bristol Days Vintage Car Show at Colonial Pemaquid State Historic Site on Saturday, Aug. 12, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., request vintage and collectible vehicles of all kinds for the event. There is no charge to enter the vehicle.

To register your vintage vehicle(s) or for more information, contact Jeff Friedman, Jftv1@verizon.net, 677-3707.

Collectible motorcycles of all kinds are requested and welcome. A new trophy category is added this year for Favorite Cycle, bringing the number of trophies awarded up to five for 2017.

After hosting diverse vintage and collectible cars and trucks at last year’s Olde Bristol Days festivities, organizers are forecasting a banner year in 2017. This year is the fourth for the Vintage Car Show, which has grown into a popular and fun attraction for the entire family during Olde Bristol Days.

Our car show is a bit informal. It’s really a country car show. First, second and third place trophies will be announced at 2 p.m. at the show. Last year’s favorite “Kid’s Pick” Trophy, voted-on by those under age 12, is coming back for 2017 along with the “Director’s Choice Award” and the new “Favorite Cycle” trophy. That’s five trophies to be awarded, up in number from three trophy categories in 2013, our inaugural year.

Organizers suggest reserving your spot(s) now based on limited space and last year’s heavy turnout.
