The walls at the Damariscotta River Grill brighten the dreary days of winter showcasing a variety of artists, subjects, style and mediums.

Art at the Grill hosts 16 of the Pemaquid Group of Artists (PGA) from Jan. 23 through March 13.  Join us for the opening reception on Wednesday, Jan. 24 from 4-5:30 p.m. to meet the artists while savoring Chef Rick Hirsch’s delicious hors d oeuvres.

This talented group of Midcoast Maine artists include Deb Arter, Stephen Busch, Peggy Farrell, Claire Hancock, Kay Hannah, Jean Harris, Hannah Ineson, Will Kefauver, Jan Kilburn, Sally Loughridge, Marlene Loznicka, Judy Nixon, Paul Sherman, Cindy Spencer, Liliana Thelander and Bob Vaughan.

The Pemaquid Group of Artists  includes over 30 juried Maine artists whose mediums include painting, ceramics, printmaking, woodworking, and drawing. This year, PGA celebrates its 90th continuous year of exhibitions, and its 58th year in the gallery at Lighthouse Park on Pemaquid Point.

The award-winning PGA artists are all from Lincoln County, whose work is also represented in collections across the country. Each year, the group opens to jurying new applicants who represent the best of the midcoast art scene.

PGA’s mission is to provide a venue for qualified local artists, enrich the cultural environment for Maine residents and visitors, and to foster and support art education through financial contributions.

Call the Damariscotta River Grill, at 155 Main St., Damariscotta, for more information about the show at 207-563-2992.
