Pies and tarts at Adult Ed

Tue, 11/07/2017 - 12:00pm

Have you fought the pastry battle long enough?  Join Debra Arter for Pies and Tarts, Oh My on Monday, Nov. 20 just in time for holiday baking. Debra will show you how to properly mix, roll, and shape the perfect pastry crust. Recipes will include oil pastry and standard.  We will bake an apple or blueberry pie and share it with ice cream at the end of class.  In addition, we will make individual fruit tarts with an almond crust. You'll take one home to eat or share!  Make the holiday season special by sharing homemade pies that you have baked. Bring aprons, rolling pins, storage bags and containers to take home what you make in class. The class is in the Home Sciences room at the elementary school from 6 to 9 p.m. The registration fee is $18 with an ingredients fee of $9 payable to instructor on class night. Please register by Friday, Nov. 16. Bring a friend and have fun!
