Priscilla S. Dickson

Priscilla S. Dickson, 88, a lifelong resident of Wiscasset, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

She was born in Wiscasset on October 21, 1924, a daughter of Hallie A. and Martha A. (Grover) Simpson Sr.

She attended Wiscasset schools and graduated from Wiscasset Academy. She married Bruce Dickson, “the boy next door,” in 1945 and they resided in Wiscasset.  They opened Dickson Trailer Park in 1969 and raised their family. She was employed at Stinson Cannery in Bath and later at the Montsweag Restaurant in Woolwich.

She enjoyed working on the farm, gardening and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce E. Dickson Sr. in 1971; one son, Bruce E. Dickson Jr. in 1953; and two brothers, Paul Simpson and Herbert Simpson.

She is survived by one son, Paul T. Dickson and his wife Diane of Wiscasset; one daughter, M. Anne Wright and her husband Paul of Wiscasset; one brother, Philip Simpson and his wife Faye of Wiscasset; three grandchildren, Bruce T. Dickson, Kimberly Dickson and Michael Dickson; and four

great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Dickson, Cody Dickson, Christopher Dickson and Jacob Dickson. Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 2 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 3 at the funeral home.
