Robert S. "Bob" Reed Jr., of Wiscasset died suddenly of a heart attack on Sept. 17, 2014. He had recently arrived to his seasonal job in Iowa working for a nuclear power plant.

Robert was born in Boothbay Harbor on Nov. 8, 1954 to his parents, Robert Reed Sr. and Judith Rines Reed.

In 1973, Robert graduated Wiscasset High School where he was the mascot for the basketball games. Robert stayed involved with the community by officiating basketball games and umpiring baseball games.

Robert enjoyed horseshoe tournaments with his family and friends, summers at Duck Puddle Campground, taking friends on his pontoon boat, the Michael L. and being an avid hunter. Robert was a great man and will be missed by all.

Robert was predeceased by his loving parents, his brother Michael L. Reed, and his half brother Robert Standbridge.

Survivors are his son, Matthew Reed of Wiscasset and his girlfriend, Susan Doray, and their son Caleb Reed; stepdaughter, Cristal Bryant and her children Brandi and Drew Bryant and Ernest Poland of Round Pond; his partner and love, Shari Burbank of Edgecomb; sister, Rebecca and her husband Louis Michalos of Wiscasset; sister, Kathy and her husband Richard Skelton of Bowdoinham; brother, Bruce and his wife Sylvia Reed of Wiscasset; sister, Lori Reed of Wiscasset; brother, John Reed and his life time companion April Koehling of Bath; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

His burial will be on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. at the Jackson Cemetery on Blagdon Ridge Road in Wiscasset with a gathering at his niece Desiree Bailey's house 145 Gardiner Road, Wiscasset to follow. Please join.
