Flakes were flying Friday afternoon near Wiscasset’s transfer station on Fowle Hill Road and at the Head Tide end of Alna, at the bridge crossing the Sheepscot River near Head Tide Dam.

March 24, the end of the first work week of spring, brought snow and other precipitation to the Midcoast. Lesser traveled roads showed tire marks in the mix of snow and fresh treatment.

Winds less pounding than the prior two days’ persisted for much of the day.
