Dear Editor:

The Wiscasset High School National Honor Society chapter would like to thank our community for its support and donations to our winter-wear drive. During the month of January, we collected gently used donations of hats, mittens and jackets. These donations will be sent to New Beginnings, a teen shelter in Lewiston. New Beginnings has been serving the state of Maine for almost 35 years and helps over 750 young people each year.

As we all well know, this winter has been an especially cold one, and your generous donations will go a long way for youths in need. Thank you, Lincoln County, for your continual support of great causes.
