Tomas Isimekwes Hammond, 27, of Rockland, formerly of Damariscove Island, was lost on the 11 Mile Ridge on November 1 while fishing aboard F/V No Limits.

Tomas, son of John and Robin Hammond of Marion Township, was born August 5, 1987 in East Boothbay.

After a short rest, he was aboard the family's floating home, Otok, to see his first sunrise. He spent his entire life on the water.

Tomas leaves his Mama and Papa; his five-year-old son, Curtis; Katlynn, the love of his life; two brothers; and four sisters.

Tomas was an accomplished shipwright, hunter, trapper, fly fisherman and an excellent chef who loved to cook for his friends. But above all, he was a devoted father.
