Alna voters on March 23 will have two selectmen’s candidates to consider for one seat and two other residents to consider for a seat representing the town on the Sheepscot Valley Regional School Unit 12 board, Town Clerk Liz Brown said.

Nominations closed Monday. Brown said Shanon Cotta and Second Selectman Melissa Spinney turned in papers for a two-year term as first selectman. David Abbott is not seeking re-election.

Abigail Manahan and former SVRSU board member Ralph Hilton will be on the ballot for one, three-year term on the district board, Brown said.

Incumbent Road Commissioner Jeff Verney is unopposed for another one-year term, Brown said. Polls will be open at the fire station from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Brown will announce absentee voting information.
