The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting, the battle for an enormous family fortune, and the concierge who, with the help of his trusted lobby boy, attempts to prove his innocence after he is framed for murder.

“The Grand Budapest Hotel” features an all-star cast including Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, Edward Norton, Mathieu Amalric, Saoirse Ronan, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Léa Seydoux, Jeff Goldblum, Jason Schwartzman, Jude Law, Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel, Tom Wilkinson, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and Tony Revolori.

Anderson's last movie, “Moonrise Kingdom,” was the second highest-grossing film of the year (after “Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”) at The Harbor Theatre in 2012.

Rated R, “The Grand Budapest Hotel” has been called “a masterpiece” by the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Online review site Concrete Playground describes it as “eloquent, offbeat and charming ... Anderson’s most accomplished film to date.”
