The Westport Community Association (WCA) is having its much anticipated annual Meet & Greet with Wine Tasting on Saturday, June 16 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Westport Island Town hall.

Year rounders and summer folk alike are welcome to attend. Come mix and mingle with neighbors and pick your favorite wine. Non-alcoholic drinks will also be available along with a variety of cheese and crackers, very delicious appetizers and fresh fruit, and chocolate.

As a 501 (c)(3), the WCA by-laws call for an annual meeting. This will be held briefly at the end of the event, all are welcome to attend. If you want to have a hand in planning events like these now is the time to raise your hand, any interested resident of Westport can be voted in as a board member at this meeting.

As always and much appreciated, WCA events offer you a chance to help your neighbors with a donation of non-perishable food items for the Helping Hands food pantry. Thank you.

Save the date: Saturday, July 7: With celebrations of our nations founding still fresh, the Westport Volunteer Fire Department annual Benefit Barbecue, now being planned, will have firefighters as cooks and the WCA coordinating the ever popular dessert table along with live music to entertain. This will be a “not to miss” event starting at 5:30 p.m.
