The only two residents filing papers for Westport Island’s elections were incumbent Second Selectman Gerald Bodmer and incumbent Regional School Unit 12 representative Sandra Crehore, administrative assistant Susan Partelow said.

Nominations closed on Tuesday, May 12, for the town’s June 26 elections, so Bodmer and Crehore will be the only candidates on the ballot for the seats they now hold, Partelow said.

Voting in the elections will take place from noon until 8 p.m. June 26 at the town hall at 1217 Main Road, according to the town’s website at www.westportisland.us. The remainder of town meeting will follow on June 27.
