The Garden Club of Wiscasset met Nov. 6 at the First Congregational Church of Wiscasset.

After a brief meeting, the members were fortunate to have Cheryl Rich from Southern Maine Community College speak to them about "Pest Management the Natural Way."

She provided many helpful tips on the safe way to rid our yards of the pests that invade.

Following the meeting, members enjoyed sampling a variety of pies provided by some of the members.

The next meeting will be held on Dec. 4 and will feature the club's annual holiday arrangement creations, which are shared with those in need of some holiday cheer.
